As we travel through Lent, we are grateful for the fellowship and worship that happens each Saturday at Isaiah’s Table. We celebrate friends from United Church of Fayetteville and First Presbyterian Church of Liverpool for providing breakfasts a few times this winter. And we are so grateful for the financial support we have received from sister churches in our Presbytery, most recently from Robinson Elmwood United Church.
We are looking forward to a BIG delivery of socks from Bombas which should arrive in early April. This year we will receive 5,000 pairs of various sizes that we can once again distribute to community members. We will also be sharing these socks with several local organizations.
On March 28th a group from Isaiah’s Table will gather with thousands of other folks in Dewitt for the No Kings Rally. Our faith encourages us to speak out and march against governmental polices that injure fellow citizens of the Kingdom of God.
Since we worship on Saturdays, we do not celebrate the resurrection on Easter weekend. Instead, we will hold our version of an Easter Vigil on April 4 during worship, which covers the main events of Holy Week. We will celebrate Easter on Saturday April 11.
May you have a blessed Easter and may the weather soon feel like Spring every day!
