About

Isaiah’s Table is a small faith community on the Near Westside of the city of Syracuse, NY. We formed in 2012 through the Holy Spirit working amongst a group of ruling elders who felt called to ministry and mission in the city after their traditional congregation closed. We meet for worship each Saturday after a community breakfast in our space. We also meet weekly for Bible study. We are a lay-led ministry.

We are a fellowship of the Presbytery of Cayuga Syracuse and are part of the Presbyterian Church (USA) protestant denomination as well as of the 1,001 New Worshiping Communities Initiative of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Here’s a video of our community at our first location (filmed in 2013). We are much the same, but our space and neighborhood is much different!

Structure & Governance

Isaiah’s Table is a fellowship of the Presbytery of Cayuga-Syracuse. We formed in 2012 through the 1001 New Worshiping Communities movement of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

We have 501c3 status with New York state. Therefore we have a Board of Directors. We also have an Administrative Commission formed by the Presbytery of Cayuga-Syracuse.

We work together as a cooperative group, holding yearly retreats of the entire community. At the retreat we elect a smaller group of 5 leaders who serve as the Small Table Leadership Team and meet regularly for decision-making and planning.

Ministry Coordinator

I am a follower of Jesus the Christ. I want nothing more than to help others experience the immense joys and peace of living life as part of an accepting, loving, community of faith. As the Ministry Coordinator of Isaiah’s Table, I am the “go-to” person. I enjoy encouraging all to use their gifts to make Isaiah’s Table a community where all are respected and welcome. I especially enjoy teaching and planning worship. I am the wife of my best friend, Bob. I am a mother, a grandmother and privileged caretaker of Ziggy, Isaiah’s Table’s golden retriever mascot. I am a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) and also hold a Master’s Degree in elementary education.
