Another year has flown by at Isaiah’s Table. We’ve settled into our new space and are thoroughly enjoying the Near Westside Neighborhood. We are looking forward to the new decade with wonder and gratefulness.
We are in a period of deep prayer this holiday season, as we prepare for a new venture in 2020. We’ve discerned that God is callingĀ a brand New Worshiping Community that will be Spanish speaking to meet in the space we use. At the leadership retreat in November we prayed and dreamed of finding a Spanish speaking leader for this new church. We prepared this document, Introduction and Invitation to Isaiah’s Table, based on the core values of Isaiah’s Table, to describe who we are so that an interested church planter might better understand this vision.
There will be a Christmas Luncheon on Saturday, December 21st after worship. We will go out Christmas Caroling, weather permitting, before eating. If the weather is horrid, we will play some Christmas games before lunch instead.
Our Christmas Eve Worship Service will be held on Tuesday, December 24th at 5:30 pm. We will hear the Christmas story, sing lots of Christmas Carols and finish with a special candle lighting with some more singing at the end.
Good Creations, our Tuesday Art Program will not meet on December 24th and 31st. Wednesday evening Spiritual Nurture will also take a break for the holidays, not meeting on Christmas or New Year’s Day. We will resume meeting the first week of January (6th and 7th).
We are excited about what God has planned for 2020! Merry Christmastide and Happy New Year!
